Bio:

Hunting has always been a family affair for Richard. Richard grew up hunting on family ranches in South Texas; in fact Richard got his start in hunting from his Uncle Danny over 20 years ago. Richard met team member John O'Dell, who encouraged him to pick up the camera and start filming for Drury in 1998. Richard has enjoyed those special moments of catching friends hunting on film. He is currently teaching others his knowledge behind the camera as he now moves in front of it.

As part of his employment, Richard has had the opportunity to introduce clients to hunting and other outdoor activities. In 2001 Richard met Bonnie and Mike McFerrin and introduced them to Drury Outdoors. Their partnership has now developed into another strong Lone Star team.

John O'Dell was also instrumental in developing Richard's love of turkey hunting and his calling abilities. He has taken several Pope & Young trophy deer and has developed the love of muzzle loader hunting as well. Richard has hunted all over the country and enjoys the challenge of hunting in new areas as well as leaning new cultures and hunting techniques. Most of all, Richard enjoys spending time with his family and teaching his three boys the experience of nature and hunting.
