Back at it....

During Illinois' second season, Kolesar and myself were fortunate enough to double up on a couple of great birds. Fast forward exactly two weeks and my fourth season tag was ready to be punched. After a Wyoming turkey trip that got cancelled, I was anxious to get back in the woods. Daybreak greeted my buddy Chris and myself with nearly perfect weather and it didn't take long before we could hear a few birds firing off in the distance. While the magic of this same blind didn't repeat right after flydown as it did two weeks ago, we still had plenty of confidence that we were in the right spot.

Shortly after ten o'clock, a long beard starting getting fired up at every sound my MAD aluminator would throw at him. Knowing this bird was now alone, we settled in and got all six cameras up and rolling. He was on a death march heading right to the decoys. After giving the gobbler about a minute to take out his frustration on my jake deke, I let the Winchester XR #6's go to work! He never moved another muscle! Check out the slow motion pics of this stuff in action below!

Again, a big shout out thanks to my buddy Chig for laying it all down on four go pros, one Reconyx, and of course a big camera!! Good luck to all and be safe!
