November 5: Steve Frantz

Team Bama Boys are finally on the board for Dream Season The Journey. It has been a tough ride for us up until this point. No kills for Early Season Leg "1" or Hadley Creek Leg "2". We passed several decent deer and also had two good encounters at Hadley with two different shooters.
Well we started off the Rut Leg "3" on our farm in Ohio on Nov 1st. After checking our Reconyx cams and hunting for a couple days, we felt like we needed to make a move quick as we were hearing better reports in central Illinois. Also our main Southern Illinois farm wasn't showing what we wanted to see on our Reconyx HC900 text cameras. So off to Adams county IL went. This particular farm we picked up later in the year after season opened. We decided to only use this farm for a rut farm. By the way it laid out, we knew it would only take a stand or two to kill, so we would just hang and hunt. That is just what we did, hung the set in the middle of the day and killed in it that evening!
This Mature 8 made his way in behind us in the timber coming to a cut bean field and he ended up 50 yards down wind. This is when the Ozonics proved its self to me! This big boy B-lined all the way up to 5 yrs from Jarrod and I while being straight down wind the entire time! WOW! He didn't know we were in the world! It was at this time I let the "New" PSE Dream Season Decree power drive the Hypodermic Rage into him and watch him fall at 30 yards.
If you guys aren't in the woods, you better get there and get there fast. With this full moon and weather system coming in for the next week or so it is gonna a TAGFest in the Midwest. Don't miss out, get in the stand and stay put!
Stayed tuned on the Journal as Team Bama Boys are pressing hard to put another one on the ground quick!
