November 16: Jarrod Gibson

Team Bama Boys strike again for the rut leg. It's has been a long November but our persistency and patience paid off. After 26 days of continuos hunting this 8 point fell victim to the PSE Decree early Sunday morning. We hunted a biologic winter grass plus plot that we have stayed off of all year due to the neighboring landowners recently clear cutting 100 acers of timber next to the plot. We put the boss babe in middle of the plot and let her work her magic. After thirty minutes in stand Steve saw a good buck headed the opposite direction of us. I hit the Mad grunt and we had this 8 point respond quickly. He came strait down wind of our stand and the ozonics again allowed us to go undetected and get the shot off at 15 yards. The rage extreme dropped him in his tracks. After a couple bad years of EHD and not having the caliber deer we are accustomed to on this farm, we are happy to get this deer down on the ground. This deer makes number 2 for Team Bama Boys..Stay tuned as we head to Ohio and get after it for a few days before we head back for Illinois gun leg.
