Well Santa came early and a big monster buck must have dropped out of his sleigh right on top of me during the opening day of Missouri's late Muzzleloader season. I knew he was there, but I didn't get very many daylight photos of the monster buck I called "Freshman". My buddy Klem had named him Freshman because he was a new boy to the farm last year and we only saw him once the entire year. This year we hunted the farm regularly without one sighting, so I wasn't getting my hopes up for this hunt, but as I always say...you got to be out there trying if you want to kill a big one. I was very fortunate to harvest such a beast. He has a ton of mass and lots of great character. God blessed my efforts and I thank him for that! Merry Christmas to everyone out there still at it and I hope you are all blessed for your efforts as well.
