My 6 @ 60 quest  continued on to the great state of Pennsylvania.    Jerry Tibbott,  of THE BEARDED BUCK, located in Northern Cambria, PA reached out to me on Facebook and agreed to assist me in my quest.  After a telephone call from him, we put a game plan together on scheduling my excursion to harvest a Pennsylvania  buck.

The journey started off rough as my flight was delayed because the pilot over slept, then had a flat tire “supposedly”.  My original flight was then cancelled.   I then had to take a different  flight which made me 8 hours late in arriving .   What an unbelievable surprise I had when I pulled in the driveway at his lodge.  The property is an amazing habitat and food source meca for wildlife!  I harvested a doe on my first morning hunt with camera man, Mike Miller.  I will remember forever , the next afternoon, October 27, 2015!  Ron Buterball, Jerry Tibbott and I set up in a ground blind on a bluff which overlooked a beautiful Biologic Maximum,  clover,  radish and turnip food plot.  We were in the blind by 3:00 p.m. and this big guy, who Jerry calls “Scrape Dancer”  because of incredible video he has of him,  came into the plot by 5:30 p.m.

With Ron and Jerry both running cameras and two Garmin Virbes, I knew if it did happen, the footage was going to be plentiful and unreal.  “Scraper Dancer”  fed for over 30 minutes, spared with a smaller buck and then walked within 46 yards of the blind.  I knew that was as close as he was going to get.  I am known for Bow Sadness but I wasn’t going to let “Scrape Dancer”  walk out of my life!  Talk about focused, I bared down with the EVO/SP, settled in at the 46 yard target.  The Rage  hit him just a little low.  We reviewed the footage and decided to look for him the following morning.  A wave of emotion swelled through me after the shot. I actually was in tears knowing that Jerry had opened his arms to make this part of my 6 @ 60 journey happen.  The recovery the next morning was short and sweet.  Several of Jerry’s friends came to assist me in finding him.  He had only went about 75 yards and my prize PA buck “ Scraper Dancer “ was another addition to my 6 @ 60 quest.
