Well after Joe and I left Rush Creek Guide Service in Texas, it was back to reality:( Even though we hit the ground running in Missouri we struck out! So we put our heads together and decided to head back to Joe's farm in a attempt to put one down with the PSE Decree since I had a bow tag burning a hole in my pocket!  We again had a 6 day dry spell without seeing a mature deer. As luck would have it, the Illinois shotgun leg was fast approaching! Joe was up to bat that Friday but again not a mature deer gave Joe the opportunity to pull the trigger. That evening we began checking cards from the Reconyx that we pulled earlier and it was showing that the upper plot in the timber was showing movement in the early morning. So with that information, we decided to hunt there in the morning hoping we could get it done.  Well after sitting just 20 minutes after daybreak we started seeing deer and then all of sudden this boy stepped out and he was introduced to Dogs Tradition Muzzleloader! So when Joe gave me the signal it didn't take me long to pull the trigger! Even though he is not the biggest deer that we have pictures of, I was sure happy and excited to put him on the ground for Team Mad! Pow!Baby!Pow!
