November 11: Greg Glesinger

The evening of November the 12th was a day we had been working towards since the season opened!  We had been trying everything - food sources (standing beans, cut beans, clover plus, last bite, and maximum), diving deep into the timber, and doe bedding areas; but we kept coming up empty.  So we turned to the boss babe doe decoy on standing beans.  We had some luck attracting young bucks and does with in range but no mature shooters.  After a couple of sits with no luck with the doe decoy, we changed our approach and used the Boss Buck.  We had 5 bucks come to him, none of which were mature, the first evening.  We decide to stay the course, hoping we could pull in a mature one with in bow range.  Sure enough the Big 8 Point hit the field checking does and as soon as he noticed the Boss Buck - his ears laid back, hair stood up and charged our way.  The Rage found its  spot at 23yrds…  A Big Thank You goes out to Arik Duhr for laying down some incredible footage of this buck working the decoy!  Also for hanging in there for the entire trip!  Needless to say the plan final came together.
