With big brother on the board, all the pressure was resting on me. Fully committed to sitting until blood was drawn again, the morning was filled with watching leaves fall and clouds move across the sky. We had no action until the last couple hours of daylight.

Sitting at the bottom of an open pasture it was easy to spot the bone walking across the field. Quickly grabbed the grunt call and it immediately got his attention and he decided he wanted to check it out. Watching him walk directly at us for 150 yards was enough time to get the heart beating and legs shaking. He walked right to the stand and with his head down I took the opportunity to draw and wait for my broad side shot. After a couple minutes of the deer standing and looking for what made the grunt, he finally turned and walked right behind a tree. With a perfect camera angle for John and a tree in my way just needed a couple more steps for a quartering away chip shot. Once I had a clear shot and the kill signal from John, that buck stood no chance going against the PSE, Rage combo.
