November 15: Alisha Coon

Another Dream Season for Coon Dog for the second year in a row. Coon Dog’s beautiful daughter Alisha picked up the TC Pro Hunter in an attempt to harvest another whitetail. Although it was a tough hunt with temps in the 20s, light snow falling, and wind gusting 20-30 mph, Alisha sat it out with Coon Dog and her mom Cathy. After the morning produced very little movement, it was time to take a short break for lunch and to warm up more than anything.

Once back in the blind that afternoon the deer started moving from a small buck to numerous does. As daylight started to slip away, two hot does came running out of a draw. As the does hit the food plot it wasn’t long until a 9 point buck followed their path. Once the buck entered the food plot, Dog attempted to stop the buck, but each time he grunted the buck would turn toward the blind and fail to give Alisha a shot. Finally after 3 attempts, Dog was finally able to stop the buck and Alisha put a shot on the deer. The buck dropped in its tracks after the Thompson Center Pro Hunter founds its mark. And another Dream Season was complete for Alisha. Alisha would like to thank Drury team members Rod and Keith for their invite to hunt one of their Missouri farms. And also thanks to Mark Drury for his hospitality at his North Missouri farm.

P.S. This is why Drury Outdoors is not just another team, we’re a family!
