With the Frank brothers, a lot of our scouting is done with the Reconyx camera, so we can pattern the deer we're hunting and we try to get it so we know the right times to sit each stand. With me having limited time off and our scouting done for us with the Reconyx cameras we knew where to sit my first night out. We were sitting a natural food source and knew these deer would be coming out eventually. The action picked up when John said “ we got a Buck chasing does.”

I immediately rose from my seat to see a mature buck standing a top a hill 100 yards away. I grabbed my Dream Season PSE bow and hoped for the opportunity to come my way. Seeing the does run off I thought my opportunity was going with it. But that buck made a straight line toward us and the fence row we were hunting. We watched the deer walk 100 yard across the field and present a broadside shot at 20 yards but before I could draw back the deer turned and jumped the fence in front of us. Waiting for John to crack focus and give me the kill signal the deer was below our stand at 10 yards. Getting the kill signal from John I made a clean pass through, but the shot was farther back then I would have liked. Seeing him arch his back and tuck his tail as he walked away, we decided to wait till dark to back out.

We went in the next day and there he was laying in the timber 40 yard from the last place we seen him. He bedded down and that the last bed he took!!! Another Whitetail smash for Team Frank! -Adam
