With a couple turkeys already in the bag for my dad and buddies. It was my turn to get behind a weapon. Me and Lil’ Jon headed out Friday morning to try a turkey we had nicknamed Mr. Clean because he had no beard.

He had given us the slip twice but this time we had a secret weapon, her name is “Tiffany”. After barely hearing him gobble through the wind a couple times off the roost, we set up in one of his strut zones and set out “Tiffany” to work her magic. He gobbled one time on the ground and after a little coaxing on the box call, he appeared and that’s when he met “Tiffany”. It took him 5 minutes to cover 20 yards strutting, he was so impressed. We let him get just close enough to get a good look at her and it was game over! Mr. Clean was dead and not only was he missing most of his beard due to mites, he only had one spur! It was an exciting hunt and thanks to “Tiffany” I had my first bird of the year! -Jeff
