October 1: Jacob Eugster, Sam Ripp, John Seid, Joe Eugster

We raise a lot of sweet corn on our farm for fresh market sales. When the sweet corn season is over we chop the fields leaving about 12 rows unchopped every 100 yards or so. In these unchopped rows are where we lay in ambush for ducks and geese. Lots of geese were coming in to feed, and it was time to lead up the kids and go hunting. The first night my son Jacob (12) and daughter Katherine (7) came with. Jacob was using his 12 gauge and Katherine her B-B gun. A great night, with 2 geese taken. Katherine was sure she got one!

The next hunt was with Jacob, his cousin Sam (12), and John Seid. Sam had never been hunting but had been shooting a lot of clay pigeons with us. What a night! We managed to get our limit of 8 geese- most of them on film! What a group of Natural Born Killers. -Joe Eugster
