Been a great season so far and its only April 15th. My 9 year old daughter Jessica harvested her first turkey this year during the Illinois Youth season on Easter morning. (Not on film) I can't explain to you how excited she was and how excited I was as well. Only a father that has experienced that feeling himself knows what I mean! It was a special moment between her and I that will be ingrained in my memory for a lifetime!

That made a great year alone, but since then I've been lucky enough to harvest a big Tom in Iowa (not on film due to communication problems with my cameraman and I) and this big Gobbler today in Illinois with my PSE X-Force! He came in to the King Strut like he was a fireman ready for action. He ran in! Good footage on camera and just before he was about to pounce on the King Strut Decoy I sent a Rage broadhead with a brite red Luminok flashing through him like a meteor crashing through space! It was awesome. I love hunting turkeys and it is even more special when I'm lucky enough to take one with a bow.

I have a 2nd season Illinois tag in my pocket and heading to Missouri next week for some more gobbling action! I can't get enough! Good luck to all!
