I setup this morning on an old logging road back in the timber. In the past it has been a reliable strut zone later in the season when the hay fields get taller. As the woods began to wake up, I was surprised that I had 3 gobblers roosted within 100 yards of me. Just a few soft tree yelps and it didn’t take long for 1 of the gobblers to appear out in front of me and come in full strut to the avian decoys. After putting on a short show, I let the Winchester Longbeard XR fly. Good luck to everyone with a tag still in their pocket!!
