After Taylor and Dad doubled behind the house a few days ago, I assumed that would be the end of our hunting back there for the year. Only owning 16 acres, it would make sense that there may only be 2 gobblers in the area.

Much to my surprise, my bird was strutting behind the house last night, so I was confident he wouldn’t roost very far away. We climbed into a muddy blind already set up on a trailer, keeping us dry from the rain. He started gobbling and wasn’t far at all, but flew down and started to work the other way. My dad and I made a few calls and he came to our field in no time! This hunt was the cherry on top of an awesome turkey season!
