If you've had a tough turkey season, I feel your pain.

I had been putting in the hours scouting, moving blinds around, hunting, and had a close call, but it looked like the Missouri season was going to slip through my hands. To make matters worse, I was opting to take a bird with archery tackle...making the already difficult task of killing a wild turkey ridiculously difficult.

Too stupid to give up, I went back to a farm where I had scouted a bird at the beginning of season, but instead of hunting the low pasture side of the timber stand, I steup a blind on the grassy ridge above. That location proved to be the ticket because even though we heard ZERO gobbling, this tom snuck in around 7:30 AM looking for a dust up. Instead, what he found was 28.5 inches of Victory carbon and a Rage Trypan!

I am so thankful for this bird and I hope others grinding it out will take heart and keep at it. Your season can go from zero to hero in no time!
