October 18: Brandon Jennings

Brandon Jennings always wanted to hunt South Texas.

This year, he was finally able to fulfill one of his bucket list hunts. Arriving on a Friday at GK Paloma Hunts, Jennings and DOD member John O’Dell shot their bows, showered, and got right into the blind.

In South Texas this time of year, bucks are very patternable, and this was no exception to the rule.

Within 45 minutes, their target buck showed up with other younger bucks. Jennings waited until the buck got into range and his first South Texas was down in short order.

Jennings was only starting a week-long tear, but this buck was special as it was the first he took in the Lone Star State.
