After harvesting a red stag in Argentina and a giant black bear at 15-yards from the ground, Jacob O’Dell was ready to take a big whitetail back home.

Jacob and his dad, John, had hunted a few times this year without much success.

DeerCast forecasted ‘great,’ and Madison had just shot her buck, so the father and son duo headed out to the blind early in the morning. At first light, a big mainframe 10-pointer showed up. The buck made a scrape and pushed off another buck in front of them.

Finally, the buck presented Jacob with a great shot, and Jacob capitalized on the opportunity. The 157-inch, 6.5-year-old buck did not run far, and Jacob had the biggest buck of his life on the ground. A heck of a weekend for the O’Dell clan!

Jacob and John calculated that they traveled half-way around the globe and half a calendar year to harvest three great animals for Bow Madness. That’s a goal I need to set!
