Hunter: Christian McFerrin
Animal: 154 1/8" 11 Point Whitetail
Location: Texas
Weapon: PSE-Dream Season X-Force
As told by Christian McFerrin:
Hurricane Ike left us in south Texas for two weeks. Deer season came up at the last weekend of our stay. It was my moms turn to hunt first. When she got a whitetail on her first hunt it was my turn. That evening we drove the Polaris to the stands and parked it behind a bush.
We climbed up the stand. It wasn't long after we climbed up the stand that some bucks came out, but mine wasn't in the group. About thirty minutes later my buck "Brow tines" came in. He stood behind a bush for awhile and came out. When he stepped out he was thirty yards and I turned my seat to get a better look. Then I heard a cow moo-it stepped out it spooked the bucks. My Dad and I decided to come back in the morning.
It was six when we woke up to hunt. We drove down to the stands climbed up and waited. It wasn't long before he came out. He was eighteen yards when I shot. I made a lung shot and we found him one hundred yards from were I shot him. He was the biggest buck I have shot in my life and I am very excited!
