Hunting Partner: Rod Owen Hometown: Monticello, AR Spouse: Brandy Hampton Children: Coltin and Eli Education: Honor Graduate - Monticello High School Occupation: Pipeline construction/Small business owner Interest: Hunting, scouting and spending quality time with family Animal Specialities: Whitetail deer, waterfowl and turkey |
My Grandfather and uncles taught my older brother and I how to hunt at a very early age. They spent numerous hours being patient and sacrificing their own quality time on our behalf. And for that, I will always be thankful. My older brother was my best friend and hunting partner. We were truly inseparable during the hunting season. My life was torn apart when my brother tragically passed away . I was 13 years old, but my love for hunting only grew stronger . I would feel as though he was still there when I would get into the woods. The next fall I took my first whitetail with a bow and have taken dozens of bucks with my bow since that time. My oldest son Coltin and wife Brandy are my hunting partners now. They love to hunt for whitetails and turkeys. Colt has already taken better deer and turkey than I did at his age. My wife took her first buck during Dream Season Celebrity (151"s). This makes me excited about the years to come. We will continue to capture their hunts on video in the future. I wish them both great success. Eli, my youngest son, is 5 years old now and watches hunting before bedtime every night. I wonder where he gets that ! I spend the majority of the fall in he mid-west chasing my whitetail dreams and it would not be possible without an understanding, and patient wife. Thanks Bran, I love you, and your the greatest. I have been watching the Drury's since they began producing videos. It was always a far-fetched dream to hunt and video-graph whitetails with the Drury Team. But thanks to the Lord, my dreams are becoming a reality. Most kids grow up with sports hero's and that it great. As for myself, well my hero's have always been deer hunters. I would like to thank Rod Owen and Mark & Terry Drury for the opportunity to be a part of this Team. I am looking forward to the challenge and the opportunity of filming and harvesting some great bucks in the near future. But most important, I thank God for the opportunity. Just goes to show you ,that through him, anything can be possible.
