After chasing our Easterns back home for a couple days, and enduring rain and countless strutters that somehow knew 75 yards was a safe distance for them, we were ready to head to Texas. JJ and I headed down to meet up with Mike and Bonnie McFerrin in South Texas. I had never killed a Rio and when they were gracious enough to host us, we jumped on the opportunity. The winds make calling a very difficult chore and really had the birds on edge, however we were able to use King Strut to pull them into range. We were also fortunate enough to take down a couple wild hogs with the PSE and had a great time in camp!
