Mike has been an avid archery hunter for over 20 years, and has taken numerous Pope & Young trophy deer. A close family friend introduced him to the world of hunting at age 12, and he has been hunting ever since. Mike has hunted all over the country, and enjoys the challenge of new territory. He enjoys volunteering his time with the Texas Youth Hunters Program, in association with the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department, and also volunteers as an official Texas Big Game Awards Scorer. He is especially passionate about whitetail deer, but he also enjoys spring turkey hunting and elk hunting, as well as capturing wildlife on his camera. Mike currently holds the states number one Pope & Young velvet entry a 215 3/8 gross and 197 5/8 net buck.
